Important Recommendations:

• Apply only to clean, dry, dust-free substrates; remove oil, grease, laitance and loose particles before priming.
• Recommended application method: roller or brush; stir well before use.
• Allow primer to dry fully before applying hot-melt or torch-on membranes — drying time will vary with temperature, humidity and substrate porosity.
• Not a waterproofing product — use only as a bonding primer within a complete waterproofing system.
• Use in well-ventilated conditions and observe all site safety precautions; consult the product SDS for handling and PPE guidance.
• Store in original, sealed containers in a cool, dry place away from ignition sources and extremes of temperature.

What is Bitumen Primer HM used for?

It is used to prepare and prime concrete and other suitable substrates to improve adhesion of bitumen hot-melt waterproofing and torch-on bituminous membranes (including AVCLs on Safe2Torch substrates).

How is the primer applied and when can membranes be installed?

Apply evenly with a roller or brush. Allow the primer to dry fully before installing membranes; drying time depends on temperature, humidity and substrate porosity — only proceed once the surface is dry to the touch.

Can I use Primer HM as a waterproofing layer?

No — Primer HM is a bonding primer only and must be used as part of a complete waterproofing system.
