Description

CONFORDAN ECO is a flexible, chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam membrane with a closed-cell structure on one side, providing an elastic and durable internal composition. Designed for use beneath laminated and timber floors, it delivers reliable acoustic insulation against impact sound while also functioning as a vapour and damp-proof barrier. The material offers good resistance to chemicals, temperature variation, and compression, supporting long-term performance and comfort underfoot. CONFORDAN ECO is compatible with underfloor heating systems and complements the IMPACTODAN® acoustic insulation system, making it suitable for residential flooring applications.

Installation guidance & recommendations

Flooring planks should acclimatise for at least 48 hours at ≥17°C with ≤70% relative humidity. Floating mortar must prevent cracking. Skirting boards should cover expansion gaps and allow a small silicone bead gap to avoid acoustic bridges. Installation should follow the Danosa Constructive Solutions Catalogue, Sound Insulation Commissioning, and SPD documentation for best results.
