Important Recommendations:

• Substrates must be clean and dust-free; if not feasible, apply a wet primer of CURIDAN (~50 g/m²).
• Apply above 10 °C.
• Façade cladding must end at the dividing wall between users (SPD 2.1).
• Use impact sound insulation where required (Sound Insulation Solutions Manual sheets AA01–AA04).
• For central heating/water intake lines, decouple with cross-linked PE shells (SPD 1.2).
• Do not perforate the proposed solutions in specified commercial/ground-floor cases (SPD 2.3, SPD 4.4).
• Partition walls: minimum 1 cm plaster (SPD 3); do not anchor to structural elements (except permitted roof cases).
• Ceiling dampers: anchor to joists/reinforced members (SPD 4.2). For very heavy ceilings, use a primary/secondary grid (SPD 4.3).
• Fix gypsum boards to galvanised steel framing only — no plate-to-plate screws.
• For drywall cladding >4 m high, specify elastic fasteners (SPD 2.5).

Do I need a primer before installation?

Use the membrane on clean, dust-free substrates. If dust cannot be eliminated due to the construction process, apply a wet primer of CURIDAN at approximately 50 g/m².

Can it be used on metal panels?

Yes. When bonded to galvanised steel sheets it helps control panel resonance and improves acoustic performance.

Is it suitable for ceilings as well as walls?

Yes. It can be used between rigid layers on both vertical and horizontal surfaces, and within spring-mass ceiling systems to increase overall isolation.
